You know, for someone so into helping people solve their decorating problems . . . . I really have NO idea what to do with my own place. I just love so many things. So many styles. So many colors. If I did everything I wanted to? It would look like Southern Living teamed up with Martha Stewart and had a big ole fight with West Elm (thanks to Jodi) and Z Gallerie, with a bit of Ikea, Pier 1, Pottery Barn and Bombay Company throwing random punches as well.
To say my style is eclectic is a bit of an understatement.
I have a HUGE leather couch . . very modernlike . . mixed up with a dark cherry entertainment center, a funky blue and gold fanback chair, your typical Wal-Mart green fleck bakers rack, and a giant circular 70's era marble coffee table with a funky copper base.
and thats just my living room. Not to mention the art. (Van Gogh, Black and White photographs, and a large square modern painting . . . black, white and ivory with a huge red peoney in the middle). I also want to add the vintage Tattinger poster to the mix. Yikes.
I'm frightened that when I buy a house . . its going to be one of those with themes for each room. This is the "modern" room. This is the "neo-classical" room. This is the 'romantic room" . . .and to your left is the . . blah blah blah.
It would probably be better if I could paint the walls. That would limit the things I bring into the house. My problem is . . . I don't have a set idea of what I want to do . . . so when I see something cute . . . I buy it. It doesn't matter if it matches anything . .. I don't have anything to match!!!
Oh well. not like i have the money to buy anything anyways.
that hasn't stopped me yet.

Welcome back!
My place is decorated in whatever I could find. It has no theme.
