Hell.
I just got notice that my HS 10 year reunion is in the planning stages.
That means it actually might happen.
I feel extremely nervous right now. Why? I hated HS. I hated just about everyone I went to HS with. I was so incredibly shy . . PAINfully shy. I always say, in HS? I was the paste that held the wallflower to the wall. I had NO people skills what-so-ever.
The idea of me being thrown back into the mix with the folks that made me so incredibly depressed just . . well. . . depresses me.Yet, I have this odd, almost sick curiosity about it.I want to see where all the 'clique' kids are now. The ones that used to pick on me, put me down, and tease me mercilessly. I want to walk in there, with my 6'1 self, my Bachelors AND Masters Degree . . full time job and blooming music career, and see exactly where these people are now. Show them that they didn't keep me down. Actually thank them for being pricks. . . because they helped show me the way to deal with all of the pricks in life. They helped me cultivate my own unique personality, and that being a 'sheep' *ISN'T* cool.
Life sure can throw curveballs at you. I'm literally SCARED.
It's going to be a tough decision . . to go? Or not to go. That is the question.

Oh, you should SO go. I went to my 10 year class reunion. Most of the clique-ish kids, *ahem*, now adults ... drank too much, were trying to show one another up, most looked horrid and it was just generally nice to sit back with all my geek friends, who looked HOT, and laugh at what used to be the popular people.
Hi, thanks for stopping by and commenting...the camera I use is a Nikon D70 (Digital SLR Camera).
I'm with DangerousPersona. Go and show the pricks how cool you are now and how cool they are not. She's right, I saw the same thing at my husband's reunion. The cool guys were trying to show that they still 'had it' when they so obviously didn't. And my husband got the award for having the youngest child - which to a bunch of old geezers means his little 'swimmers' are still in good shape! He also had the youngest wife there! He showed them!

I just got the notice for my 20th reunion. I'm going to bite the bullet and go.
If you do go, just have fun.
i noticed you came on my site so i thought i'd leave a comment and say hi
i think you should definitely go back and see how things are. i'm actually looking forward for my reunions (i'm currently a junior) because i really cannot wait to see how everyone ends up. hopefully i'll be doing better than some of the bitches at my high school
lol.
ryc: I used a zoom lens...at 300mm with a 2x teleconverter...which effectively made it 600mm.
See, I loved high school, and I'm really hoping I'll make it to my ten-year this year.
