Hi, Meredith, and thanks for your comment!  It's nice to "meet" you.  He only had to get permission for two major ensembles because he is a freshman.  Normally it's not even an issue because freshmen seldom make even one of those two groups, much less both.  So, it was a bit of an unusual situation, but he has always met his challenges head on so far.  They know him well from summer camps, so they know his level of dedication.  I would love to hear more about your own achievements, goals and aspirations!  Our kids' involvement in music has truly changed all of our lives for the better, and what a blessing it has been to us.  Our son is just in "heaven" now that he is finally able to focus on the orchestral and wind ensemble music, with no more marching band.  I love great photos as well, but I'm no professional.  I just love to take pictures, and I certainly took my share when he went to NY and performed there.  I think I took over 300 pictures "after" I threw out the bad digital pics.  Have a great day!
