Interesting profile - I'll reserve judgement on your sanity for now, since you are a musician, and therefore obviously dysfunctional in some way...NOT that I'm projecting from myself or anything. Horn's cool. Last year I wrote a three-movement piece for horn, the rest of the brass quintet, and piano, entitled "Hell". The horn teacher at Butler expressed reservations about how do-able it is, and I respect her opinion, but I love the piece as it is. I've run through the last movement "Punch and Judy" twice, and it's certainly do-able.
