So my life seems to be picking up a little . . . gig wise. Thats a good thing.
I still have no job. Thats a bad thing. I'm either over qualified, not enough experience (
),
or they are freaked out at the fact that I have a Bachelors and Masters
degree in Music Performance. *sigh* (not enough
experience?? I have 10 years in office experience. for crying out
loud)So I do my gigs . . . I'll make about 500 bucks this month. Not bad.
My rent is 560.
Soooo yeah I need to do something.
What about bartending . . .
anyone know anything about that? I think I'd be good at it.
I'm very personable, I listen (I'm tall, so not many people would try
to mess with me . . . I hope) . . . I have a great memory for drinks
and things. Do I really need training for it? Meh.
Oh well . . . the search continues tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Sorry about the job search.
Bartending could be really cool in the interim.
I know nothing about bartending but it's probably worth a shot, huh?
Good luck!
do portraits!!!
Yeah, why not portrait photography? Or pet photography, that's a business that is picking up, especially with Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas coming up! But Bartending could be very cool. Good luck in the job search. What instrument do you play? -JJ
all i life i've been doing portraits and general photography outdoors with NO lights, backgrds or flash. you don't need anything but time and a camera and a ViSiOn on how you want your portraits to be. praCtiCe!!! i've never won any lotteries... though i really need to!! i'd love to teach you how to see... besos and take care!!!
ryc: thanks for all your comments!!
You know, if you have a decent camera, you can make a shitload of money photographing horse shows.

SYRACUSE REFUSED ME AN AUDITION!!! Did you get one? I won't hold it against you -- in fact, I'll still put you up, if you want. They said in the letter I could write and dispute their decision -- I think I might, because they're probably looking at my resume and thinking, "Music Ed major at Roberts what college??? No way!!" So I need to tell them I don't suck -- maybe send some recommendations... sigh... Anyway, hope you find a job soon -- I would love to bartend, but I don't know any drinks. You have fun, though!
Dunno about your state, but in mine you hafta get licensed to bartend.
