You know . .   the pictures that I post just dont look as good on any other monitor that I've seen.  (esp. the small, curved faced monitors).  Bleck!  I like them *much* better on my monitor.  I wonder if they'll turn out different when printed.  hmm.

2 days of training . . .
and my brain feels like old glue.  And my
head hurts.  And I’m tired.  Probably going to go to bed about . .
nowish.  But I did promise pics . .

Ok so the
construction area at the top isn't the prettiest . . . but well . . its
construction.  heh.  And I've figured out why I take pictures
in the car.  (of the sky at least) . . . because . . when I get
OUT of the car . . . there's no open spaces to take good pics of. 
But the highways provide opportunities that I generally wouldn't
see.

referenced in my last post.  I just need to get the time to
process them.  (and for that I have to be @ home.)  So .. .

Mmmmm
today was so pretty out.    The air was crisp . . the sun was shining . .
and large fluffy clouds lazily meandered through the sky. 

 

I
love to just be outside . . and be a part of the amazingness of it all. 

So . . .
here I am.  I had my first ‘week’ of work
today.  (course it was only three days
long . . . two if you count the fact that I left at 2:00 on wed AND on
fri.)  But I feel like I’ve been there
forever.  *lol*  I’m still excited about it tho . . so that’s a
good sign (I hope). 

 

It seems
that all of a sudden . . . my life has gotten so busy, I can barely keep
up.  From Wednesday to today, I’ve worked
3 days (2 half days and a full day) . . . I’ve driven approx.  280 miles since Wed. morning . . . not too
bad. Hehehe  No wonder my car has almost
200K miles.  *sigh*  I’ve played 1 rehearsal, one concert, and one
show (South Pacific).  I have a rehearsal
tomorrow morning and a show tomorrow evening . . . I have a show Sunday
afternoon and a concert Sunday night.  I
have a gig Monday morning (late for work) . . . and then I work till 6 . . and
begin my work training on Tuesday . . (though I’m WAY ahead of the trainer …
and they might waive me from the need for training).  Leave the house at 8 am . . and don’t get
home till about midnight.  Barely get
enough sleep before I have to do it all over again. *grin*  (Now . . . before people say “ well look at
you complain . . and you only just started work!!” . . . I’m NOT
complaining!!!  Nowhere near
complaining.  I love being busy . . and I’d
be busy all the time if I could . . its just everything happened so fast this
week . . I went from sloth to running-all-the-time-girl.  I’m in a bit of shock . . and a bit of
awe. 

 

I almost fell
asleep at the computer today.  I was
doing some basic data entry that just needed to get done . . . and because it
was so boring . . . my head kept trying to give up.  I found my eyes closed a couple of times . .
and stray fingers had punched in interesting data on the computer . . . while I
wasn’t aware of it. *lol*  Good thing I’m
tucked back in a corner . . . even if there was heavy traffic through the
office . . no one would see me.    I like that. 

 

So for right
now I have no pictures . . . I’ve had so much to do learning the ropes and
whatnot, that I haven’t had time to goof around.  And at lunch I got the heck out . . . cause I
needed fresh air!!! Hehe  but I will def.
take pictures soon . . . it’s a neat old place. 
It has such possibilities . . . it’s a little drab inside . . . BUT . .
it is an office. Hehe  So you’ll have
that.  (Though I do think offices should
be unique . . . I think people would be more motivated to go to work if their
work place LOOKED cool.) But hey . . what the F do I know anyways?? 

 

Soo . . now
its time to make dinner  . . then watch a
little TV . . . and then crawl into bed and die.  *lol* 
for at LEAST 8 hours.  Possibly 10.  hehe

I have good news!!

 

I got a job!!!    (yay! Cheering!!  Applause!! 
Woohoo!!) 

I didn’t mention anything about the interview, ‘cause I didn’t want
to jinx it  . . . 

I’ll be working here as an Administrative Assistant.   My job
is determining whether a person and/or family is eligible for medical fee
assistance. 

Good salary, good benefits, and a nice quick commute. 

I’m so relieved.  It feels
like a big huge semi-truck has been lifted off of my shoulders. 

Yay!  Once I get settled . . I’ll
post pictures (if I’m allowed) of the area I work in. 

Thanks to everyone that put in good thoughts for me.  . . it worked great!

Ok
. . hello.  Fall has arrived
en-force!  It hit yesterday like a big
smack in the face . . and it looks like its gonna stay this way!  Brrr. 
It’s chilly out there!  It was in the 80's earlier in the week.  It was 50
yesterday!  With all the rain  .. . it felt like it was in the 40’s
though.  And it says it’s 60 out right
now. . . but that’s the high for today, I’m sure.  Cause its COLD out there.  BRRR. 
(I’m such a baby with cold weather.) 
I’m sure the trees will be turning like crazy now . . I’ll have to set
up some time to go to the neat spots and take some pics.  I’m off to play a concert today . . . and a
Desperate Housewives party tonight.       Later taters.

I had a lovely long post
typed up . . . and my computer decided to shut the F$@* down, and I lost
everything.  Even Xanga’s backup thingy
didn’t work.  *pout*  Lets try again. 

 

So!  This is a random photo blog.  A study in Digital Camera Regurgitation, if

~The first set is of my
cat.  Crazy animal.  She loves the bathroom . . . (I think she
likes to listen to herself echo in there.) 
But she has recently discovered the sink . . . and thinks the water that
comes out is the coolest thing ever. 
This is her attack procedure. . . .

 

 

 

 

 

~The next is of my drive
home this evening.  All of these photos
were taken one after the other, and they are in order.  I haven’t left any photo out.  Fototaker . . this reminded me of your
sunsets. . . except mine are blurry because I’m driving.  (bad! I know! Hehe)

 

 

~And I found *this* in the
parking lot at the grocery store when I did get home.  -=siiiigh=- 
-=drool=-  The pics are blurry.  I stuck ‘em in anyway.  You can sortof see the pearlescence of the
paint . . . it just GLOWED.  I bet that
thing moves too.  Yummy.

I saw the most amazing sunset yesterday.  I got one crappy
picture of it.  So crappy in-fact, I'm not going to even bother posting it
here.  I needed a much better
zoom capability than I have.  But lets see if I can give you the image of it . . . .

The sky was generally clear, except for a few thin wisps of gossamer cloud.  They were tinted the
palest of lavender.  The backdrop was a vibrant hue of  . . . creamsicle or
orange sherbet, fading into a pale, light colorwash of blue.  But at center stage  . . about an inch
above the horizon, was the largest, fuchsia sun, blazing in the middle of the
calm sky.  The gossamer clouds wisped in front of the fuchsia globe in a
soft zigzag pattern, but otherwise, it was unadorned.  The haze of the city kept
the sun from being blinding . . . instead, it was like someone took a huge
vibrant red stamper, and stamped a circle on the horizon, for all to see.  As I waited at a red
light, I stamped this image into my mind . . it was amazing, yet simple.  And all the while,
breathtaking. 

I'll see what I can do with the picture . . .but I'm not promising anything.

. . . OK so you all wanted to see the pic?  Here it be.  Not
as impressive as it sounds huh.  It just didn't translate very
well . . the sky looks backwards (the sky looks purple and the wisps
look reddish/orangish.  But hey.  I described what I
saw.  Now the camera decides to tell its own story. hehe 

tadaaa.  I called it "creamsicle sunset".  Sounds like the name of a cool retro band.  hehe

So my life seems to be picking up a little . . . gig wise.  Thats a good thing. 

I still have no job.  Thats a bad thing.  I'm either over qualified, not enough experience (),
or they are freaked out at the fact that I have a Bachelors and Masters
degree in Music Performance.  *sigh*  (not enough
experience?? I have 10 years in office experience.  for crying out
loud)

So I do my gigs . . . I'll make about 500 bucks this month.  Not bad.
